The Age of Turbulence: Adventures in a New World

NYC shopping
Shopping in NYC is one of my favorite things to do. We took Faz up there to join in the fun and he had a blast. We did the run through SOHO and made our way up to our favorite bar The Niagra in the east village. Had an amazing Cuban lunch at Ideya and some coconut soda’s. Went on to drink way too much and finished things off at Rain. Chaos. I had to get up at 5am and work most of the day after getting home at 2am. Ugh. It was an amazing trip though and we all had a blast. Faz- come back soon

Ode to the Niagra:

4 Years..wahooo
Today is our 4 year wedding anniversary. Go us. Can’t believe how fast the years are flying by. Looking forward to the next 100…

My mom bought us a mini-ice cream cake. Which we ate after going out to an amazing sushi dinner at my favorite place. Oishi. The Webster’s came and so did Bird who went crazy and picked up the gigantic tab. Thanks bird! You rule. So much fun..way too much wine.

My mom and grandmother got us a huge thing of white roses..so nice.

Jersey Shore weekend…
It was amazing. A full day of shopping in Philly and it was off to the shore.
FAZ and his first legit Philly Steak. Old School from Ish’s on South.

We got up Saturday and had an amazing breakfast in Avalon. Bird showed up just in time for an afternoon drinking challenge. Slightly after noon we began the six pack race. Any six pack you choose. Last one done buys them all. I — being the smart girl that I am — chose the 6 pack of shorty bud cans. I won. Bird came in second with his pack of Coors lights and Faz was DQ’d after throwing up after 5 coronas. Faz bought. Bird took his clothes off and I started to slurr my speech.

We all went to the beach to sober up and get ready for the night.

Phil showed up late night and dragged Bird out to the OD. All that was left in the Am was a few fuzzy memories and Phil’s “filk” pillow left behind in the mad rush to drive home in the AM. The house sleeps 12 people and Phil and Bird both slept on the couch.

gotta love the Jersey shore!

Fasil is here. Snatched him up in the weee hours of the morning off a red eye from Vegas. Gotta love that flight. done it many times in the past and it sucks. Went to the diner in West Chester to fill the tank and then we all went right back to bed. Gonna head into Philly and then down to the shore for the weekend. Faz meet the Jersey shore…Jersey shore meet Faz.

Sigh…
This day sucks.
I worked in the ER all day and didn’t see a single thing about it until I got in my car at 8pm. Can’t say too much about it - but I’m very thankful most of my friends are still with me that live there.

URBN
Moved down to the naval yard in Philly a while ago. The building has gotten a ton of architectural praise. They aren’t pumping out any earth shattering design lately - but maybe that’ll come in time. Check the space out:

I love PINK
This guy does too and he has a great sense of humor. He wrapped everything in his roommates room in pink paper. I love it.

Happy Birthday to my good friend ANDREA! She and her husband and their boy benito and the future little ms. card are out in Oregon checking out the medical practice scene. Let’s eat cake when you get back girlie!

Framed
Chuck hung some of our collection of art work up a few months ago and I just realized I hadn’t blogged about it. It’s not totally complete yet, but it’s a good start.

He got acupuncture this morning and I got infra-red massage. Highly recommend it for sure!! We are off to the shore for the long weekend. Enjoy!
