Stoked
Just booked our winter trip to Whistler/Blackcomb this morning! Super excited. Haven’t been there in almost 10 years and to make it even more amazing - Faz - Jenna and E are all coming with. Should be and amazing trip. Snow is all time up there this year. Looks promising for a good season. I love the village up there. It feels like you are in Europe.
I couldn’t be more excited right now. Going to Breckenridge this week for some practice turns…
Bird is in Montana and the pass is closed. He is getting like 2 feet a day up there right now. So Jealous…I’ll hopefully hit it just as good in CA.

Jury Duty

I got picked to come for Jury Duty this week. I love how when you get there they try and hype it up and make you feel like you are the most important part of the US judicial system and all that crap. Most of it just to pass the time and make you not want to shoot yourself while you are painfully waiting for 8 hours.
I planned for it though. I brought my lap top and my itouch and my ipod and some magazine and some books. Turns out they love nurses and wound up picking me for all 3 pools for the criminal cases that were on for that day. Lucky me. I am also lucky enough to have family and friends in law enforcement which is probably what got me off. The first case was an armed robbery with assault. I got to talk to the judge and the 2 lawyers for that one. I think they might have been thinking about picking me and wanted some more info on my law enforcement connection. The next one was a DUI case an unfortunately I know a few people with previous DUI charges so that got me out of that one. The last one I had read and heard about so they let me out of that one too.
Jury duty pretty much sucks and I really would rather be at work then doing that crap. I personally feel like our judicial system sucks - and I don’t have respect for it or a desire to ever be part of it. To put it nicely…ha.
No commentsNew Years…and VT
The drive up was incredible. Total bluebird and it was my birthday so that makes it even better. We pit stopped at Dabica and Ali’s to wish him a happy b-day and try to kidnap his dog Rivet..ha

Drove into Shelburne to hang with the Louchheims and their new addition Max. He is amazing and so cute. We have’t seen them in a long time so it was really nice to just spend some time together!

Of course we went to Sakura twice and drank them out of godzilla supplies. ha

Met up with Issa and Brandon at flat bread for lots of beer (and lemonade for Issa
it got ugly quick. we made the BTV bar scene rounds, hitting pretty much every bar on the end of Church and Main. Ugh Thank god for Chuck for cutting me off so that I could actually function the next day!

We went riding at Stowe for 2 days and met up with tons of fun people.. cleary / doyle / del / carter olcott / ryan lang / jim sadler. Here are just a few shots..oh yeah- and we hit it really well this year and got like 8 new inches of snow on our second day. Chuck rode his fish all day and we rode in the trees all afternoon.

SNOW! and crazy Burlington clouds

New years eve. Celtic music and dance in downtown Huntington followed by an Ipod count down and guitar hero at Jim’s. A perfect way to start 2008
