COLORADO
We flew out to Denver and drove out to Keystone resort. We had a killer little apartment right at the base of the mountain. The first night and all the next day it dumped. We rode Breckenridge the first day which is like riding in the poconos - only wider. It was super flat and super boring. The only good terrain was only accessable via a stupid long t-bar…are you kidding me!? I would never ride one of those. If you pay 90 bucks to ride, they better at least build a freakin’ lift. We lasted a few hours and decided that walking around in the town was way more fun. Super cute town- super boring overpriced resort!
We rode Keystone the next 2 days which was amazing. The variety of terrain there is great. They pretty much have the nicest pipe I have ever seen and the trees are super steep/tight and empty. They even have $5 cat rides if it gets crazy. Bravo.
We drove back into Denver sunday to 70 degree weather and found out our flight was cancelled because of a huge snow storm at home. We booked a hotel in Boulder and drove up to hang out for the night. It was like a mini Burlington VT so it rated high in our book. We ate killer sushi outside on the side walk in February with flip flops on while it iced and snowed at home.
It was a great trip and we love going there…we’ll def be back next year!
